Bag Care and Maintenance

Every Knots the Label bag is carefully handcrafted using T-shirt yarn — a blend of cotton, elastane, and polyester — chosen for its durability, comfort, and soft, textured finish. With the right care, your bag will maintain its shape, colour, and beauty for years to come.

Cleaning

• Spot Clean Only – Use a clean, damp cloth and a small amount of mild soap to gently wipe away marks.
• Avoid Soaking – Submerging your bag in water can cause stretching, distortion, or colour fading.
• Surface Dust Removal – Use a soft-bristled brush or lint roller to lift away dust and small particles.
• Odour Refresh – If needed, air the bag out in a well-ventilated space (avoid direct sunlight).

Storage

• Shape Protection – When not in use, fill the bag with acid-free tissue paper or a soft cloth to maintain its silhouette.
• Avoid Sunlight – Store away from direct sunlight to prevent fading of the yarn fibres.
• Dust Protection – Keep in a breathable fabric dust bag or pillowcase to shield from dust and accidental snags.
• Safe Placement – Avoid storing near rough or sharp objects that may catch or fray the yarn.

 

General Care

• Weight Limit – Do not overfill; carrying excessive weight can stretch the yarn and distort the bag’s shape.
• Avoid Heat Exposure – Keep away from radiators, heaters, or tumble dryers, as heat can weaken the fibres.
• Reshaping – If your bag stretches with use, gently reshape it by hand while it’s dry.
• Keep Away from Moisture – Protect from rain or damp surfaces. If the bag does get wet, reshape and allow to air-dry naturally.
